DESCRIPTION: Up to 10mm in length. The adults of this largish Mirid Bug have a brown pronotum and striking green legs. The cuneus is orange red and green. The antennae are noticeably shorter than the body. BEHAVIOUR: Seen in small numbers low down on specific trees. DISTRIBUTION: Most records indicate this is a relatively common bug in the south of the UK with numbers becoming scarcer towards the north. HABITAT: Usually found on the lower branches of Hazel, Alder and Birch as well as nearby shrubbery. PERIOD: Best seen during September and October.
